We are so excited that you are joining us and looking forward to helping you achieve your goals. Here is a list of important information you will need for your successful employment.
Apps to Download:
Sling – Schedules, Requested Days Off, Shift Swaps, Open Shifts,Company Group Chat, ask questions while on route or work related issues, this is a professional space, use good judgement and proper language.
ADP – payroll app, clock in and out each day using the tablet at the dispatch desk, use the app to view timecards, view paystubs, request PTO
Mentor – app to use while on road to help with driver safety. When you are working you will log into this app on the company phone.
- Breaks are optional. If you choose to take them, these are the requirements: You are required to take a 30 minute unpaid lunch break before 2pm each day. You are also entitled to take 2 fifteen minute paid breaks – you do not clock out for the fifteen minute breaks. For all breaks, text dispatch to let us know you will be taking a break. You cannot take all 3 breaks at the same time. Do not leave the delivery area for your breaks.
- At the end of each route, call the dispatch number to check in before returning to station. If you come back to the station without checking in with Dispatch first you will most likely be sent back out to complete additional tasks. Call dispatch with any on the road questions or concerns, we are here to help you!
- As an employee you will be required to meet performance standards of the job. Your performance metrics will be posted on our board each week. Our management team will work with you to improve and coach you along the way. Please familiarize yourself with the Company Performance Standards which can be found in the ADP app after you have completed onboarding.
- Safety is the most important aspect of our work. If you feel at any time there is a risk to your personal safety or someone else’s please report it to Management or Tina immediately. You always have the right to refuse unsafe work!
- If you are a full time employee you are eligible to enroll in health benefits. You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll, after that time has expired you must wait until next year’s enrollment period which is every December. You will receive an email from our benefits provider within the first 30 days of employment inviting you to enroll in benefits.
- Any damage to customer property, to the vans, or injury to yourself, any incident involving another person during your route or on property, while working needs to be reported to Dispatch immediately or it will result in termination. You will be asked to fill out an incident/accident form and complete a drug & alcohol test following any accident or injury.
- Become familiar with our attendance and points policy, both in the ADP app as well as in our New Hire section of this website. Call offs are not something we will tolerate as part of our regular business operations as it causes us to not meet our level of standards with Amazon and creates more work for your team members to have to complete on your behalf. All attendance issues are dealt with strictly, fairly, and equally with all employees of the company.
- Your scheduled day of work ends when you are done with your route + rescues and dispatch tells you to come back to station. Leaving early or before the end of your scheduled work day is not allowed regardless of the reason. If you cannot work a full work day, you need to find coverage for your shift that day.
Let your management team know if you have any questions, if you don’t ask we don’t know you need help!
